Declaration of Interests
2201.Councillor M Fromont declared an interest in matters regarding the Community Centre and noted that it would be closed for a week for repairs. Councillor Bacon declared an interest in the planning application to remove and lop trees in Red Hill Court.
Minutes
2202. The minutes of the meeting held on 7th July 2011 were accepted as a true record and authorised to be signed by the Chairman
Matters Raised By Parishioners
2203. Mr Leaney asked about the progress of the telephone box repairs, it was noted that the matter has been reported to BT twice, clerk to report again. Mr Leaney again complained about the bins, once they have been emptied they are not being returned to the property curtilage, they are being left on High Street. Ms Gannon to look into the matter.
2204. Mr Leaney then commented that the new bench on Tofield Road was not securely fastened to the ground Ms Gannon said that DMBC would take a look at the bench..
2205. Mr Leaney queried the state of the Chestnut trees on the green, it is believed there is a disease affecting Chestnut trees generally, and he wondered if the trees were affected as the leaves appeared to be spotted. DMBC to investigate. Members asked if all Chestnut trees in the village could be checked.
Matters Raised By DMBC Members
2206. DMBC Councillor Ford reported that the reorganisation necessitated by budget cuts is well underway, but that procedures and lines of communication need to be formalised. Bawtry library is progressing on the way to being run on a voluntary basis. Members asked if parish councils are represented at the communication meetings, it was confirmed they are and that information would also flow from the meetings back to parish councils.
Neighbourhood Report
2207. Ms Gannon reported that the new structure for the Neighbourhood team has been finalised and a contact list circulated. There are 10 officers allocated to the area , 2 specifically to the torn Valley area. The main difference after the reorganisation is that the team are now more focused on working with the community and community groups to help them with funding to achieve their projects.
2208. The Neighbourhood team intend to attend as many parish council meetings as possible, it is also hoped that a programme of activities can be arranged for young people in the Wadworth area. DMBC are to provide an article for the proposed parish council newsletter.

2209. The police report had previously been circulated, members asked if a crime statistics report be included in future reports. They also asked if the times of the police patrols could be ascertained as there are still issues with youths congregating and the patrols may not be at the appropriate times to see them. Members noted that there had been several break-ins in the area, these were not noted on the police report, the church has had windows broken and The pavilion has been broken into Clerk to notify the police of members concerns.
Allotments
2210. The current allotment contract was reviewed and members are to propose amendments
2211. Members discussed the current rent for the allotments and an increase to £13 per annum was proposed.

2212. It was proposed that the residents of the parish should be prioritised on the allotment waiting list.

2213. Members noted that one allotment tenant appeared to be adding to the existing building on the allotment, with the addition of a gazebo, chimney and turbine. Members to investigate the matter further
The Shrubbery
2214. A draft poster has been created to advertise for volunteers to maintain the shrubbery area. Members asked if Woodland Trust could attend the next meeting to discuss the matter further, including the provision of equipment and insurance. Clerk to confirm.Pro Active Councilling
2215. Members agreed that it would be a good idea to raise the profile of the parish council, it was agreed that a contact list would be placed in the notice board and that an information sheet would be produced to be circulated to households in the parish. It was envisaged that a newsletter would follow on a regular basis.
2216. It was hoped that residents could be consulted on issues that effect them and what they would like to see happening in the parish.

Planning Matters
2219. A planning application for the replacement of the chapel has been received and circulated, some members had not seen the application. The web address too view the plans is to be circulated by the clerk and any objections or observations are to be forwarded.
2220. No objections or comments were raised regarding an application to lop trees on High Street.
2221. On the application to remove trees from Red Hill Court members commented that the trees be replaced with native species.
2222. Members asked that all future planning application web numbers should be forwarded by email.
Matters Raised By Members
2223. Members noted that some of the trees on the playing field are overhanging neighbouring properties, no complaints have been received, but the trees are to be lopped. Clerk to contact Mr Cooper. He is also to be prompted on the lopping required in the snicket.
2224. Mr Cooper has confirmed that the poplar tree replacement planting will be completed in September.
Financial Matters
2225. The cheques were authorised for payment
2226. The insurers have requested permission to settle the outstanding claim. Members agreed the claim be settled.
2227. The quarterly summary was noted and the clerk is to prepare a list of major expense in the budget for the remainder of the year.
2228. It was agreed to purchase a Christmas Tree and Remembrance Wreath. Members asked that the purchase of new lights be added to the next agenda.
Next Meeting
2229. The next meeting was confirmed as the the 6YH oCTOBER 2011 at 6.30pm at the Community Centre. Agenda to be distributed.
